Bone Grafting
Adding bone volume where a missing tooth has let the jaw shrink, so an implant has something solid to fuse to.
The jaw shrinks where a tooth is missing, which is why a gap left for ten years often needs grafting before an implant is possible. Grafting at the time of extraction usually avoids that entirely.
